If it is required to measure the distance of the centre of a unit to and/or from the corner of an adjacent or far away unit, the Dimension Item Centre tool is to be used.
Once it is decided which item centre is to be measured from, follow the steps below. This can be done via the Plan and Elevation views only.
1. From the Annotate menu, select the Dimension Item Centre tool.
2. Hover over the item of which the centre point must be found and a green square will signify the true centre. Click once with the mouse to activate the centre point.
3. Bring the mouse cursor to the desired corner point to measure to. A green square will signify the measurement end point. Click on the corner point.
The measurements will then appear.
