How to export catalogue information? How to export catalogue price list? How to save catalogue information as a spreadsheet document?
Solution
If you wish to export catalogue information, follow the steps below;
1. Go to File Manage Catalogues.
2. Select the Catalogue you wish to export the information from and click Check Out Catalogue.
3. Once the catalogue has been checked out, click Launch Catalogue Administrator.
4. This will launch the Catalogue Admin window. Choose the catalogue and click OK.
5. Press CTRL + A on your keyboard to select all.
6. Go to File Export to Text.
7. Give the file a name and click Save.
(Note: Exporting and saving the information might take a couple of minutes.)
This will save the catalogue information in a text format.
8. Once the file is saved, close the Catalogue Admin window and on Manage Catalogues window Select the catalogue Check In Catalogue OK.
To open the saved .txt file as an Excel Spreadsheet, follow the steps below;
1. Run Microsoft Excel and go to File Open Browse.
2. Go to the folder where the catalogue information .txt file is saved. Select the Catalogue information .txt file and click Open.
(Note: If you cannot find the file you are looking for, make sure that Text Files format is selected.)
3. This will bring the Text Import Wizard. Select Delimited and click Next.
4. Select Tab and click Next.
5. Select the columns you do not wish to be included on your spreadsheet and select Do not import column (skip).
Once this is done, click Finish.
6. The catalogue information will now open in Microsoft Excel.
7. Now to save the file as a Microsoft Excel format, go to File Save As Select Microsoft Excel and click Save.
