How to change the default dimension rail gaps. How to change the dimension rail gaps in an existing design. If you wish to change the Default Dimension Rail Gaps, follow the steps below.
1. Go to File Options Dimensioning Dimension Rail Settings
2. Within the Dimension Rail Settings, change the Initial Gap and Subsequent Gaps values on Plan to set the default Dimension rail gap on a plan view, and change the Initial Gap and Subsequent Gaps values on Elevation to set the default Dimension rail gap on an elevation view.
(With the settings below, the gap between the first dimension line and the wall will be 200 mm and the gap between the dimensions will be 200 mm)
(With the settings below, the gap between the first dimension line and the wall will be 200 mm and the gap between the dimensions will be 100 mm)
[Note: The changes will take effect on new designs you will create from this point on and won't take effect on existing designs]
