How to add and use a custom image as a surface cover on a *BOX from the 'Advanced Graphics' catalogue.
To add and use a custom image as a surface cover on a *BOX from the 'Advanced Graphics' catalogue, please follow these steps.
1. Add a *BOX to the design. (Make adjustment to the *BOX dimensions if required).
2. Select the added *BOX.
3. While the *BOX is selected, go to Items Settings. Ensure 'Surface Cover' is enabled.
4. Go to View and select a low render.
5. Go to Insert and enable 'Select Surface.'
[Note: 'Select Surface' will be greyed out if you are on a high-quality render. Please ensure you have selected a low render pass as shown in step 3]
6. Select the surface you wish to add a cover to.
7. While the surface is still selected, go to Insert Coverings Item Surface
8. You will then see the below 'Modify Surface Material' window. Select the catalogue of your choice from the drop-down menu.
[For example, 'Fusion Tiles']
9. Select an option from the list and click on Add to display the list of the selected materials.
[For example, 250 x 250]
10. Enable 'Display my surface materials' and click on Manage My Surface Materials
11. Click on Add (This Design) or Add (Any Design) in the 'Manage My Surface Materials' window.
[Note: 'Add (This Design)' will add the image file as a material option only to the current design, while 'Add (Any Design)' will add the image file as material option to all designs]
12. Select the image file you wish to use as a material and click Open.
13. You will then see the image file added to the 'Manage My Surface Materials' window.
Select the added image and click OK.
14. Adjust the width and height of the material and click OK.
[Note: adjust the width and height of the material to match the dimension of the the custom image in use. The image in use for this example is 1200 x 675. Please refer to the image properties in the file location for dimension details]
15. Click on Confirm to complete.
[Click Modify to bring up 'Modify Surface Material' window]
16. You will see that the surface cover has now been applied to the selected face of the *BOX.
