Launching 2020 Fusion for the First Time

Before you proceed:

Please ensure that your dongle is plugged into the computer, and that it is lit up. It will also be helpful if you have an internet connection in order to access the latest versions of your catalogues.

If you are getting an error message:

Please refer to the Troubleshooting section of our Knowledge Center and input the error message in the search bar, or contact support at +44.(0)1233.635566.

Warning: No Master Database message.

This is normal if this is your first install, or a new computer. Simply click OK to continue.

No catalogues have been installed.

If you get an error message that says “No catalogues have been installed – You must install a main catalogue before you can continue.”,  The window below will appear and prompt you to download the 2020 Fusion updates.

  1. Click Yes, and type in the word base in the Search bar that appears towards the bottom of the next screen. Select all of the check boxes. We recommend that you also search for the word Universal in the Search bar and select all of those check boxes, and then the same for Advanced Graphic's.
  2. Click on OK when you are ready to start downloading your catalogues.
  3. Once everything has been downloaded, a window appears with the message "Downloading of updates completed successfully". Click on Exit.
  4. Once you click OK on the Manage Catalogues window, another window pops up, either stating "Catalogue updates have been downloaded. Please restart Fusion in order to install the updates." or "The following updates are ready to install. Do you want to install them now?". You can click on OK to dismiss the first message, or select Yes (recommended) to the second message if you are ready to install the downloaded catalogues now.

Once this is done, you might be staring at a blank “Find Customer” screen. You must now create your first customer. You can select the “New” button, on the bottom left side of that window.

To create a customer, you are going to need a Name, Address, Country and Postcode. 

Once this is done, you are free to create your first design.
