This is achieved by following the steps below:
1. With your design open, go to the View tab and select Elevation or Perspective before clicking on Backgrounds.
2. Then click on the dropdown menu from the Backgrounds button and click on New.
3. When following window should be displayed. Click on Choose Background to be able to browse to the image desired to be the background.
4. Then decide if the imported background is to be exclusive to the active design only or available for this and any future designs by clicking the Available for future designs check box.
The Image Type can be decided based on the room, design or user preference from the three options available: Standard, Panorama, or Cylindrical.
5. Click OK to accept or Cancel to ignore.
6. Now click on the dropdown menu again from Backgrounds and select Gallery. The newly imported image will display as one of the available choices to add as a background. Please take note that *.bmp, *.jpg, *.png, *.tif are the supported file types for background images.
7. Select the newly imported image from the available choices.
In the event that your imported background image is either too bright or too dull, you can alter the brightness.
How can I adjust the brightness of my custom background?
This is achieved by increasing or decreasing the Brightness slide bar in the ribbon. Drag the slider left to dull the background or right to brighten it
