Having a copy of your preferences is always a good idea as it holds your customised settings for 2020 Fusion, including your info block, movie settings and more.
To create a copy of your preferences please follow the below steps:
1. Right click the 2020 Fusion icon on your desktop and click Open file location.
2. This will take you to where the application is stored. The default location is C:\Program Files\Fusion.
If you don't have a 2020 Fusion icon on your desktop, you can browse to this location.
You may have saved the 2020 Fusion application to another drive. If so the path will usually be similar
but may be under the D or E drive instead.
3. Double click on Display File Locator.
4. In the window that appears scroll done to the ppprefs.ini and click it.
5. In the window that appears you 'll need to find the ppprefs file.
There may be others in there that may have an under-score. You will need the one that looks like the below.
If you're unsure you can check the date that it was last used, which usually indicates the most recent version that you're using.
6. To make a copy you can either right click the file and select copy or highlight it and hold CTRL+C.
7. Now you can paste them to a location of your choice by either right clicking the the location and clicking paste or press CTRL+V.
8. Please be aware that you can choose to save them to a USB stick or external hard-drive or perhaps email them to yourself or a colleague.
9. If you are wanting to copy your preferences to another machine, please follow steps 1-4 and paste the preferences into the location where your current preferences are.
A window will appear asking if you would like to replace the current file. Click replace.
10. You will now be using your copied preferences.
