Question
How can the decimal value be modified in 2020 Fusion?
Answer
By default 2020 Fusion has a decimal placed for measurements. This means it is showing the whole number and not rounding off. As per this example the tenth and hundredth decimal values are showing.
The below image shows a rounded-off number.
In order to adjust what the decimal value is or in other words to display rounded numbers, follow these steps.
Please ensure 2020 Fusion is not opened during this process.
1. Right-click with the mouse on the 2020 Fusion icon found on the computer desktop.
2. Select Open File Location. This normally opens the path C:\Program Files\Fusion.
3. Find the Display File Location tool and double-click on it.
4. When the Display File Location tool is open, use the navigation arrows (up and down) or your mouse wheel to scroll and find PPPrefs.ini and click on it once to open.
5. Find and double-click on PPPrefs.ini to open it.
6. Once open, press simultaneously on the keyboard CTRL and F (CTRL + F). This will open the Find search window. Type the word "customise" as shown below. Note: By default, the search direction will be downwards unless switched by the user.
7. Click on Find Next and this should bring you to where the Customise section being searched for.
8. Below the Customise heading, search for ShowDimsAsIntegers (as previous image displays)
9. Replace the value within the quotations. For example:
-Replacing the default value with "0" will cause the dimension to not be rounded off.
-Replacing the value with a "10" will round off the dimension to the nearest tenth.
-Replacing the value with "100" will round off the dimension value to the nearest hundredth.
10. Select File and then Save to accept the changes.
