System Requirements for VR in 2020 Fusion Live
The hardware and software recommendations for VR in addition to the standard system recommendations for 2020 Fusion are
- Only Windows Desktop PC's are consider suitable
- GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) Nvidia RTX 2070 or GTX 1080 or higher, with at least 8GB of dedicated graphics card memory. Note: Use of multiple graphics cards will give no additional benefit.
VR Headsets
- HTC Vive Cosmos - supported both with/without the use of a wireless adaptor. - Recommended resolution scaling 58% using minimum recommended graphic cards.
- HTC Vive (no longer generally sold) - supported both with/without the use of a wireless adaptor. - Recommended resolution scaling 150% using minimum recommended graphic cards.
- Windows Mixed Reality Compatible Headset (An HP headset is considered suitable using the minimum recommended graphics cards; other headsets may require better graphics cards)
: All other headsets are NOT supported (including Oculus)
- Operating System - Windows 10 1809 or Later
How to Launch VR in 2020 Fusion Live
1. Open 2020 Fusion Live
2. Go to File Options Render Settings and ensure that Enable DirectX 12 is checked as below:
If this is not done Fusion will prompt you when selecting VR and allow you to enable this setting from within the prompt.
3. Open your Design you wish to visit in VR
4. Go into Perspective view as the VR feature will remain greyed out unlesss you are in this view.
5. From the Ribbon in the View Tab click on the ▼ expansion below Perspective to open the extended options and you will see the VR Option
6. Put on your Headset and you should now be viewing your Design in VR.
