Setting up a factor file
These steps demonstrate how you create a factor file to amend the pricing against a catalogue.
Please note that non-priced catalogues will not be able to have a factor set against them.
1. Load 2020 Fusion and go to Manage Catalogues.
2. Select the catalogue from the list you wish to amend then click Check Out Catalogue.
3. Click on Launch Catalogue Administrator.
4. Go to Options in the ribbon and select Create a Factor Collection or click the % icon.
The availability of the option to access factor collections via the '%' icon is dependent on the configuration of the catalogue you are accessing.
5. Enter the value of the adjustment required as a percentage into the 'Trade Factors' field.
If you are unsure about what % to apply, you can use an example to calculate the correct percentage. How to do this is shown later in this article.
6. File Exit.
7.Back within 2020 Fusion, check the catalogue back in from File Manage Catalogues.
8. Any designs you open that were previously created in the catalogue will ask you, when opening, if you wish to apply the new factors. Any new designs will automatically pick up the new pricing.
How to calculate what percentage to apply using an example value
1. Select Change from the top ribbon while you have the 'Create Factor' open within the 'Catalogue Administrator.'
2. In the window, enter the value of the example item you are using for the calculation.
3. In the end window over, type the amended value with what the value should be.
The catalogue administrator will automatically populate the calculated percentage into the box shown above.
You can also use this process in retail factors by entering the final selling price.
